Pasar Baru Trade Center (PBTC)

Pasar Baru Trade Center (PBTC) was called Pasar Baru (Pasar Baru means 'the new market'). It was a traditional market that sold clothes and green groceries. PBTC is located on Oto Iskandardinata (Otista) Street, Bandung.

In 2004, Pasar Baru became Pasar Baru Trade Center, a nice and complete shopping center. People loves shopping here. Bandung citizen and tourist come here to shop. According to a local newspaper, there are many tourist from Malaysia have been here.

In the weekend or holidays, of course, there are many visitors come here and make PBTC crowded. If you want to shop in more comfortable situation, please come visit in the weekdays. This photo was taken in Tuesday.

PBTC is consist of seven floor plus two basement floor. Visitors are facilitated by escavators and elevators. And I  also see many security guard in each floor. The 7th floor is park area. You may park your car outside the building, on the street aroun PBTC.

Of course, many clothes available here. T-shirt, women dress, 'daster' (Indonesian women daily clothes), 'kebaya' (Indonesian formal traditional dress),  Moslem dress, batik (Indonesian traditional clothes),  jeans, kids dress, underwear, bedcover, etc. Just pick what you want and need.

Paris Van Java mall

Paris Van Java is another mall. Located on JL SUKAJADI – when you exit from PASTEUR exit toll gate, on the second cross just turn right, its 1 km from there. . Previously it was shaded street with big trees where resident area (old but fine Dutch style) for many rich people – some trees are still there but the area are start to change its function as business area, mostly restaurants & factory outlets . Even though they are SOGO (first in BDG), Carrefour, and some boutiques with high brand, they focusing more on creating cozy hang out atmosphere. So many many cafés and restaurants are opened, big & modern cinema called BLITZMEGAPLEX (I think they are nine theaters) with WIFI are there. It’s like CILANDAK Town Square – two times larger. Instead of closed fully air conditioned, they build semi open air complex.

Last time I was there, there is open stage from ARDAN Radio on the upper ground parking area, which is still very visible from many cafés in the surrounding. Seems obvious that they targeting young people and young families – middle up of course.
It still not fully operation, many places are still under construction (now a days, construction and business are synergizing very well – time is money) but traffic on JL SUKAJADI was jammed heavily already. "Cihampelas Walk" or CiWalk.

Retail center with interesting concepts have been opened in the city of Bandung, precisely in Cihampelas formerly known as the fashion and shopping center where young people hang out. The place is called "Cihampelas Walk" or CiWalk.

Taking advantage of Bandung city air is cool and fresh, CiWalk will become the first retail destination that combines open-air atmosphere by building shops and restaurants along the left and right side of the building three-story mall in the middle of the area.

Early in the morning our minibus will take you to the Minahasa highlands.

Alternative A: You can climb the active Mahawu volcano which only takes approx. one hour of easy walking to the crater and offers you spectacular views down to Manado Bay, Mount Klabat, the Moluccan sea, Mount Soputan and Mount Lokon.

Alternative B: The hike to the active Lokon volcano is somewhat more difficult as it requires hiking along the sometimes slippery rocks of a river bed (two hours climb) to reach the crater which is nestled at the boulder of Mount Lokon.

In either case you will have lunch at a local Minahasa restaurant, and also have a hotwater thermal bath at Ranopaso to relax. Before returning to Pulisan Jungle Beach Resort you will visit the 144 ancient Waruga tomb stone sarcophagus collected at Sawangan village.

Likupang Beach

Likupang Beach is a fairly well-known tourist area in North Sulawesi. White sand, green hills, and marine parks are a few of the many beautiful beaches to offer this.
