Menanggar waterfall, located 220 from the capital district, waterfalls with seven levels of this district is located in the Air Besar. Height of each level is approximately 70 meters. Location can be reached by land transportation to and Serimbu followed by the cascade of water and swift walk. The width of Melanggar Waterfall is 95 mettres and the height is 37 mettres. The visitors can see the waterfall directly. Beside it, they also can enjoy the fantastic scenery of Jappa Mountaint. If the visitors want to cross the waterfall , they can pass under the waterfall , their a cave that has form like path. But , the visitors must use raincoat when they cross it, because the sprinkling of the waterfall is like drizzle in dry season and wet season is like rain. The visitors will pass the stones have type plaque.The opposite of the waterfall there is a small beach. In this place, the visitors can do many activities such as camping, fishing , swimming, while enjoy the fantastic waterfall and genuine forest is surrounded the Melanggar waterfall.
Melanggar waterfall has dense forest that stores many varieties of flora and fauna. It can be developed as natural tourism object. On 22 September 2009, the organization of “Mahasiswa Pencinta Alam ( MAPALA ) “ of Tanjungpura University Pontianak , they done monitoring in dense forest of Melanggar waterfall. They found many kind of wild orchid.
Beside has the fantastic waterfall, Melanggar waterfall stores many uniquesness, such as Sanjan cave and Bat cave. In Sanjan cave, there is a small waterfal, it is called Taang waterfall.It is about 30 metters .In this place the visitors can spend the night. If the visitors stay here, they will feel fresh air and enjoy the clean surroundings, it is so natural.The visitors can go fishing in Landak river. It is not far from Sanjan cave. The width of the cave is about 50 metters, while its length is about 20 metters. In the space of the cave, there is a hole, it is about 75 cms.The visitors can enter in and enjoy many kinds of stones that have shape of bed, chair and table. The visitors can find a small river in this space too.If the visitors want to enter in, they must bring spotlight , rope and keep togetherness.This space is so dark and there are many room. According to the myth, people who enter the hole must leave something such as money, cigarette or whatever. If they don not do it, they can not find exit. In Bat cave, the visitors can see thousands of bats are hanging in cave at noon. People who live in Perbua village catch it to consume. They said that bat is delicious and it can care stamina. The measurement of bat cave is bigger than Sanjan cave, but people can not spent the night here, because muuc bat droppings in cave.

Melanggar waterfall is far from the central city of Landak regency. To get there, the visitors can use motorcycle, car or bus until Serimbu sub district. Continue the traveling by using small ship, it is called perahu motor. It takes place about 1 hour. Generally, people go there in celebrating idul fitri, idul adha, Christmas, Easter and New Year. Not only the youth, but also kid and adult can enjoy this place.
To keep the surroundings is still genuine, government forbidden people to cut woods or make rice field near by the Melanggar waterfall. It is done in order that the forest still dense. So the visitors who visit this place enjoy the fresh air and see the fantastic scenery of Jappa mountain. People who break the rule , they will get sanction such as paying fine or prison.

1. The Wonderful Waterfall
Melanggar waterfall is the largest waterfall in Landak regency. The visitors can enjoy fresh air and feel calm atmosphere here. The visitors will see the swallows in their genuine habitat under the waterfall when they cross the cave under the waterfall. Beside that, the visitors can do swimming and fishing in front of the waterfall. The condition of this place is safe because the water is not deep. So, not only adult can swim in this place but also the children . If you sit on the beach in front of waterfall, you can see the rainbow around you. It is caused the dews of the waterfall stuck the sunray. It is a nice place to spend leisure time.
2. Sanjan Cave
Sanjan cave is one of the big caves in Melanggar waterfall. In Sanjan cave, the visitors also can find the waterfall, it is called Taang waterfall. In this place, the visitor can do camping because the place is safe and clean to spend the night.
3. Bat Cave
Beside Sanjan cave, there is Bat cave. There are many bats are stay here. The visitors can see bats are hanging in this cave. For the visitors who like hunting the wild animal , they can hunt bats here. Beside bats, the visitor also can see swallow. Sometimes, people who live in Perbua village look the bird’s nest to sell. In this place is available waterfall too.
4. The Beautiful Scenery of Jappa Mountain
While the visitors sit on the lip of beach in front of Melanggar waterfall, they can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Jappa mountain directly. Jappa mountain is still genuine and natural. In the mountain side is made from stone. It will be like wall if see from long distance.
