A gamelan is a musical ensemble from Indonesia, typically from  Bali island , featuring a variety of instruments such as xylophones, drums, gongs and bamboo flutes.
A Balinese gamelan  cultural instrument is a set of instruments as a distinct entity, built and tuned to stay together cultural instrument from different gamelan are generally not interchageable. Balinese gamelan is an ensemble of instruments indigenous to the island of Bali in Indonesia ("gamelan" means "orchestra"). The instruments include small bronze metallophones tuned to a four- or five-note scale, various gongs, flutes, drums and other percussion.
